Staff Digest

Our weekly email for all staff to keep you updated on what’s going on across the University:

Find people and departments

Is everything working?

Stay current on the status of key services and facilities at York, request repairs and stay informed about campus disruptions.

Log a repair, ask for something to be moved or check building maintenance requests.
Find out about any disruptions caused by building work on campus, so you can better plan your journey.
Check for any service issues or planned maintenance works related to IT, estates and the Library.
Staff celebrate after completing our charity walking challenge, the Great York Walk, which takes place in May every year and raises thousands of pounds for mental health projects.

Community and culture

Discover opportunities to socialise, share your interests and connect with colleagues from across the University.

Options include joining sports teams, going to concerts, attending open lectures and getting involved in volunteering.

You can also explore our work culture and the behaviours that underpin our Community Without Limits framework.

Find out more about our York for Life network and how you can use it to search for alumni in specific fields, promote or join events or advertise jobs, whether paid or volunteer roles.

Get involved

"I want everyone I work with to feel seen, valued and supported for who they are – not in spite of it. For me, it’s about creating an environment where people feel they belong, where they can excel because they’re free to be themselves."
