Senior KPMG employee completes successful PhD at TYMS

Sebastian is employed as Senior Advisor in Corporate Restructuring for KPMG Advisory, based in Luxembourg. Previously, he worked in the Corporate Finance section of the same company. His doctoral thesis investigated the impact of managerial ownership on firm performance, the use of discretionary accruals as a form of earnings management, and the value relevance of earnings and accruals in the context of the UK corporate governance and financial reporting system. Sebastian is a member of the European Financial Management Association (EFMA), the British Accounting & Finance Association (BAFA), and the European Corporate Governance Institute (ECGI). In 2009 he was appointed Visiting Teaching Fellow in Accounting & Finance to the York Management School.
