Masters Masterclass

Led by Iain Cornish, CEO of the Yorkshire Building Society, the York Management School Management Masterclass was given to masters students on 3 February in the Boardroom of the Law and Management Building.
Iain gave a detailed presentation covering the role of mutual organisations generally in the UK economy. More specifically his presentation covered the nature of building societies and how a customer-owned organisation reflects this in the formulation of strategy and in its decision making. He concluded by outlining the future potential role of mutuals in financial services post the economic crisis.
