Arranged by Business Placement Manager Emily Timson, the trip offered students a chance to meet a wide range of companies offering placement opportunities and gain an insight into what to expect from undertaking a placement from those with first-hand experience.
During the visit, students had an opportunity to research career opportunities, listen to presentations from recruiters, attend workshops and even secure a work placement.
Emily said: “The trip was a huge success. It allowed our students to identify the opportunities that exist, speak to current placement students and begin planning their future careers. Work experience is so crucial for graduates and after the success of this year’s trip, we will definitely be continuing the trend for next year’s placement students.”
