UG Offer Holders (September 2026 entry) community on The Ambassador Platform (TAP)

To ensure that everyone can engage in and benefit from our UG Offer Holders (September 2026 entry) community hosted on The Ambassador Platform, we ask you to act in accordance with our code of conduct. This is designed to create a welcoming environment where people of all

By joining our community, you agree to:
- Behave in a friendly, cooperative, polite, responsible and respectful manner towards all other
participants, university students and university staff. - Only use your first name or preferred name at all times. You will not attempt to provide your
surname or other identifying information. - If you are using a device you share with other people, you will make sure you are logged out of
your account on that device when not in use by you. - Report any inappropriate or offensive behaviour to our admins. You can either flag the
conversation for the attention of our admins or email us at admin1768@york.ac.uk.
By engaging in our community, you agree you will not, under any circumstances:
- Attempt to share personal information, special category data or your contact details.
- Attempt to contact any other participant, staff member or student ambassador outside of The Ambassador Platform community.
- Behave inappropriately or in such a manner that would disrupt the online activity, or experience of other participants.
- Use disrespectful or discriminatory terms on the basis of race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexuality, religious beliefs, disability or any other personal characteristics.
- Use abusive terms and swear words or language and/or gestures that may cause offence to other participants.
- Post comments that are off-topic, offensive, abusive or illegal to the platform. See The Ambassador Platform’s User Terms of Service for more information.

If you fail to adhere to the above rules and guidelines, you accept that:
Our admins may remove you from the community if deemed appropriate and necessary. If you display behaviour that is not respectful towards other participants, university students, or staff, you will be removed from the community and may be prevented from joining it again, or participating in other subsequent University-related online activity.
Questions, concerns or comments
We have safeguarding controls in place across the UoY The Ambassador Platform. However if you have any concerns about behaviour displayed or comments made in the community, please raise them immediately to a member of our admin team. You can do this in confidence by emailing us at admin1768@york.ac.uk, or by flagging a conversation within the platform. Your query will be treated in full confidence, and you will not be identified to any other individuals involved in the incident.
