Chemistry

Join staff and students for a welcome and introduction to postgraduate taught courses in the department, followed by a tour of the building and facilities and an informal Q&A session. 

The Department of Chemistry is home to our MSc Data Science (Scientific) course (jointly delivered with Biology, Environment and Geography, Hull York Medical School, and Physics, Engineering & Technology). So, if you are interested in that course, please attend the Chemistry session.

Medieval Studies

Visit the Centre for Medieval Studies in the historic Heslington Hall on Campus West. Staff and students will offer an introduction to and a tour of their new home, including a staff and student Q&A panel.

Politics and International Relations

You're invited to a short presentation on the courses available with the Department of Politics and International Relations, followed by a live taster lecture to find out what studying with them is really like.

There will also be a Q&A with current students and an informal chat afterwards with refreshments, which will be another opportunity to ask any further questions you might have.

Psychology

Early start time: 12:30pm.

Join academic staff for an introduction to the courses offered by the Department of Psychology, followed by Q&A with staff and current students over a cup of tea or coffee. 

The session will be followed by a tour of York Neuroimaging Centre (YNiC) with staff from the Department.

If you're interested in the MSc Psychology in Education or the MSc Mental Health and Wellbeing in Education you should attend the Department of Education’s session.

Transport

Getting here

Our Masters Taster Day begins with department sessions. Check the department schedule for your start time and location.

Parking is limited on campus and spaces are not guaranteed. Try to use public transport, where possible.

Getting around once you're here

After your department session, you'll want to make your way to Central Hall on Campus West for the rest of the day's events.

From Campus West

You'll be able to get to Central Hall by walking.

From Campus East

Make the most of free bus travel within the campus zone to help you get over to Campus West, before completing your journey to Central Hall on foot. You can use services U1, U2, U3 or U4.
