Transcripts

Transcripts for current students

Current students are able to access their transcripts digitally via Gradintelligence, a secure document-sharing service giving students digital access to their module results, free of charge. 

Transcripts will be updated automatically, each semester, once marks have been agreed by your department’s Board of Examiners. You will be notified by email each time your transcript has been updated. Any student who wishes to query their results should contact their academic department in the first instance.

When you’re due to receive your first Gradintelligence document, we’ll register you with the Gradintelligence service and you’ll receive an email from do-not-reply@york.ac.uk. 

The email will allow you to activate your account and access your document(s).  

Gradintelligence lets you share your documents directly with employers, universities, and other third parties yourself — instantly, and secured with an advanced digital signature so recipients can trust and verify them without contacting the University. We'd encourage you to share your documents this way rather than requesting that the University send your transcript on your behalf, which takes longer and requires manual processing. If you'd still like to order a transcript to be sent directly, you can do so via our online store. 

Transcripts for alumni

Our Gradintelligence service is also available to alumni. If you completed your studies in 2021 or later you can access a Gradintelligence account (you will need your student ID, which is your University Registration Number).

If you completed your studies prior to 2021 you may still be eligible for an account with Gradintelligence. Please complete the request form and we will let you know as soon as possible. 

Alumni who require a PDF or hard copy of their transcript should place an order via our online store. Please be aware that transcripts will only be issued to alumni where a complete record of module marks has been retained.

Fees and processing times

Transcripts ordered via our online store are currently charged at £10 per copy. If you would like your transcripts to be posted to a non-UK address you should also pay our overseas mailing fee. 

Please be aware that whilst transcripts can usually be processed within six to eight weeks this may take longer if there is information missing from your student record.

Note to all students

Please be aware that transcripts cannot be produced for research programmes (eg Phd, MPhil and Masters by Research) and any MBBS student should request their transcript directly from exams@hyms.ac.uk.
