As a member of staff, you have access to our Employee Assistance Programme, PAM.
PAM offers a free, confidential advice line, with counsellors available to talk through any problem, no matter how big or small, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Call them on 0800 882 4102.
How does the advice line work?
You can contact the PAM at any time for information, signposting, guidance and counselling on a wide range of issues. This includes emotional support, practical guidance as well as support for managers.
When you contact PAM you will speak with a professional trained counsellor, who will understand your needs and share the best possible next steps to get you the support you need. In some cases this may be a referral to short-term structured counselling.
Is the Employee Assistance Programme confidential?
Yes. Everyone who contacts PAM does so confidentially. The content and details of your discussions will not be shared with anyone. PAM adhere to the strictest standards of data protection. Counsellors are bound by BACP guidelines to protect confidentiality. PAM will never share that you’ve made contact or provide details of your discussion without your consent.
The only exception is if there is a safeguarding situation where a person indicates there is an immediate danger or threat to their safety or that of others. In these rare situations, the counsellor will make it clear to you that confidentiality will be broken to ensure your safety.
