Class of 2025 and beyond - careers support and opportunities
Dear finalist,
As you come to the end of your final year of study, many of you are no doubt thinking hard about your future. No matter if your plans are in place or not quite yet, I’d like to share with you the wide range of support that is available to you from the University after graduation.
After graduation you become part of an extraordinary community - a global network - of more than 178,000 alumni in more than 180 countries. You all have one special thing in common: sharing a York education, where you can build on all that you’ve learnt about your subject, yourself and others.
Careers support - for life
Graduation is not the end; it’s only the next step. Whether you want to further your professional life with courses that will enhance your skills, prepare yourself for a promotion with career support and advice, or stay connected with York and the friends you made whilst being here, we can help with York for Life.
Once you graduate, you will officially become a York alum and will be able to access our careers support - for life. This includes:
- Final Year career support programme
- Graduate careers support for alumni
- Online resources such as our York for Life platform, which features career profiles of over 1,700 of our graduates in 78 countries
- One-to-one appointments with our careers consultants
- Our careers platform, Handshake, for job vacancies, employer contact information and events - please update your email address on Handshake to continue receiving our support and information and we will automatically switch your account to a graduate account
- Enterprise at York support for recent graduates to develop their skills and business ideas
Thinking about further study?
