Launch of Life Stories Film

News | Posted on Tuesday 7 November 2017

Everybody has a life story. People with dementia sometimes need help to communicate their histories and identities, and 'life story work' might provide a way for them to do this more easily.

A film about life story work in dementia care based on SPRU research will be launched at the UK Dementia Congress this Wednesday (http://www.careinfo.org/ukdc-2017/). The 5 minute film presents findings about good practice and can be used by anyone (for non-commercial purposes) free of charge, for example for awareness raising or staff training. To view the video at any time visit the SPRU website https://www.york.ac.uk/spru/projects/life-story-feasibility/
