Brexit, what next for Britain and Europe?

The Politics Society in conjunction with the York Tories and the EU Society hosting ‘Brexit, what next for Britain and the EU’. The panel will discuss Article 50, the challenges to Brexit, what kind of Brexit Britain should have, and the future of Europe.

Joining us on the panel will be: -

Rt Hon. Peter Lilley MP, Social Security minister from 1992-97 and former Shadow Chancellor and Deputy Leader of the Conservative Party.

  • Jonathan Isaby, Editor of Brexit Central and former CEO of the Taxpayers’ Alliance.
  • Scott Lavery is unable to make it, and has been replaced by “Simon Sweeney, Senior Lecturer in International Political Economy and Business at The York Management School, author of European Integration and the construction of purpose: Building partnerships for the global good."
  • The Senior member from Open Britain is “Joe Carberry, Co-Executive Director of the pro-EU pressure group, Open Britain. Previously head of research at Britain Stronger in Europe and the Labour Party.

The event shall be chaired by the Politics Departments, Dr Nicole Lindstrom.
