The UKRN is a national peer-led consortium that aims to ensure the UK retains its place as a centre for world-leading research by identifying key drivers of research quality, leading training, and sharing best practice across the sector.
Institutional partner
Dr Cylcia Bolibaugh, Senior Lecturer in the Department of Education, has been appointed as York’s institutional lead for the network.
Dr Bolibaugh brings extensive experience in championing open and inclusive research practices. Among her contributions, she serves as Principal Investigator for the British Academy-funded IRIS database, an initiative designed to enhance research openness, replicability, and evaluation within the language sciences.
Dr Bolibaugh has also contributed to UKRN white papers, keynote addresses and policy discussions.
She said: "I’m delighted that the University of York has joined the UK Reproducibility Network as an institutional partner. This partnership reflects York’s strategic vision as a university for the public good and our shared commitment to the highest standards of research rigour, transparency and inclusivity, driven by the principle that knowledge achieves its greatest impact when it is shared freely."
"York has a wide range of initiatives that support and promote research quality; working with UKRN will strengthen and complement these while providing new opportunities to collaborate and share best practice across the sector."
National policy
Professor Sarah Thompson, Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Research, added: “This partnership opens up new opportunities for York researchers to collaborate across the UK higher education sector, sharing best practice and contributing to national policy on research culture, integrity, and open research practices.
“At York, we pride ourselves on fostering a vibrant, inclusive, and rigorous research culture that delivers genuine public good. I am delighted that Cylcia will be leading this institutional partnership for us - her long-standing dedication to open research and reproducibility makes her exceptionally well-placed to guide our strategic engagement with the network."
