A new exhibition featuring the works of students opens at the University of York’s Norman Rea Gallery on 1 June.

An annual summer event, Untold will explore themes of memory, self-expression and personality.

Featuring photography, illustration, and audio, the exhibition will reflect on different interpretations of the Untold theme. There will also be an opportunity to take part in the creation of an exciting installation piece on the night.

Curated by students Dani Cook, Ella Baker, Francessca Page, Nick Yiannitsaros and Paige Vernon, an opening night preview event will run from 7.00pm – 9.00pm on Monday 1 June, and the exhibition will run from 2 – 8 June 2015.

Ella Baker, Press Officer for the exhibition and first year English and History of Art student, said: "We're very excited to exhibit the excellent and varied work produced by York students, who have explored our theme in unexpected and inventive ways."

The Norman Rea Gallery is run entirely by students at the University of York. Situated above The Courtyard in Derwent College, the gallery hosts exhibitions throughout the year and promotes the work of both student and professional artists. The gallery hosts three exhibitions a term with lectures, seminars and events.
