Honour for University Academic

A specialist in software engineering at the University of York has received one of the highest distinctions in the academic world.

Professor John McDermid of the Department of Computer Science has been made a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering.

Professor McDermid is an expert in software engineering and system and software safety, and is Vice President of Engineering and technology at the British Computer Society.
