Organised by the Department of Environment and Geography Equity and Diversity Committee, this International Women's Day Panel event will explore sustainable careers in environment and geography.

The panel discussion will feature two remarkable speakers who have promoted and advocated for both the protection of the environment and greater diversity and inclusion in their fields.

A celebration wall has been set up at the Foyer of the Environment Building (on display till the 12th March) to spotlight the incredible women in the department of Environment and Geography. All are welcome to visit and make a pledge for the International Women's day.

 

About the speakers

Session Speakers:

Dr Nancy Irwin: Scientist, entrepreneur, and policy advisor with a passion for transforming agriculture, conservation and gender equity. Co-founder and CEO of Kamapim Limited sustainable vanilla company. Empowered 19,000+ farmers through Agritech, financial literacy, and business skills in Papua New Guinea.

Dr Jen Clements: Join Jen from Forest Research as she shares her interdisciplinary career journey to becoming an environmental social scientist with an interdisciplinary background and expert in the social science of tree health and forest disturbance.
