In conjunction with the University of York

Our speakers for the event will be:

Dr Ailbhe O'Loughlin, Senior Lecturer in Law, York Law School, University of York, 'Overview of mental health and sentencing'

Sandra Drysdale, Senior Probation Officer, North East Probation Service, 'Pre-sentence reports and the role of the Probation Service in court'

Dr Christopher Ince, Consultant Psychiatrist in Intellectual Disabilities (Cumbria Northumberland Tyne and Wear NHS Trust) and National Specialty Advisor – Autism (NHS England), 'Sentencing people with a learning disability and autistic people: A perspective from psychiatry'

The event will be chaired by Professor Adam Crawford, Professor of Policing and Social Justice, York Law School, University of York. This event will be recorded.
