Zamar Gospel Choir was established in 2003 and performs gospel music from both sides of the Atlantic. The name is derived from the Hebrew word for praise.
Zamar Gospel Choir is a vibrant and fun-filled department ensemble. We are a very close community of people from all across the campus who love to sing and have fun together. We sing all kinds of repertoire including songs from musicials, worship music and traditional gospel tunes. We even perform in purple robes! With over 30 members of the choir, we perform harmonically challenging music as well as the more traditional call and response songs. Zamar is very inclusive and non-music students are equally encouraged to join in.
