The Library is now open 24/7 until 7 June
The main library is open 24 hours a day for the four weeks of the exam period. But 24/7 opening doesn't mean 24/7 studying!

We've said it before and we'll say it again - we open 24/7 so you can work whenever you like, NOT so that you can work all the time! All-nighter study sessions are really not recommended; in fact they often cause more harm than good. 24/7 opening until midnight June 7 is all about flexibility, so look after yourselves.
Other study spaces around campus
As well as the 1200+ study spaces in the main library itself, we also have:
- Library@Piazza. The Piazza Library is located on Campus East in the Piazza Learning Centre. It is open 7.30am to 10pm, seven days a week. The study space contains approximately 50 non-bookable seats, and borrowable lockers. The area is a Silent Zone.
- Ron Cooke Hub. The Ron Cooke Hub houses our Campus East 24 hour library study area. It is a Studious Buzz Zone.
- Vanbrugh. There is a 24 hour library study area in V/N/058, located on the ground floor next to one of the entrances to the History of Art department. You will need your University card to access this room, which contains 21 study spaces and will soon have a wallpaper bookshelf full of books chosen by York staff and students as their all time favourites. This is a Quiet Zone.
You can find details of other study spaces on the University website, located all around Campuses West and East.
We've got some general study tips coming up in our next News item, but in the meantime check out the Student CAP Guidance section of the guide our eLearning colleagues have put together! It's full of useful links.
