Improving Council Tax Support and Collection: A neglected cost-of-living priority

Council Tax arrears in England alone are at over £5.5 billion - a figure increasing by £10 million per week - and, after utility bills, Council Tax is the most common debt held by low-income households. This project examines the design and impact of Council Tax collection policies and Council Tax support across English Local Authorities.
