Microsoft Enrollment for Education (EES) Agreement

The University of York has licensed a Microsoft 365 'A3 Plan', which includes:

• Windows 11 Education Upgrade
• Microsoft 365 Professional Plus and 365 for Mac
• Rights to on premises versions of the licensed products, as well as the server and Client Access License (CAL) benefits that were included in the Education Desktop.

This is a subscription licence which covers each employee in the organisation, and includes Microsoft Software Assurance.

The agreement applies to all University owned or leased devices.

If you need to install Microsoft 365 or Windows on your University owned machine, please contact your Departmental Computing Officer.

Additional products can be added organisation-wide, department-wide or for individuals at any time during the subscription term.

A broad selection of Microsoft software products, such as Microsoft Visio, Microsoft Visual Studio, Microsoft Project and Windows Server operating systems are available as Additional Products through the EES Agreement and Select Plus agreement.

The A3 licence qualifies Microsoft 365 for students as a Student Use Benefit.
