Obtaining Microsoft software
There are three methods of obtaining Microsoft software:
- Microsoft Office 365 subscription for home use
- Microsoft Enrollment for Education Agreement (EES)
- Microsoft Select software licence deal

The University's Microsoft agreements qualifies staff and students access to certain Microsoft 365 apps at home. Find out more:
Microsoft Enrollment for Education Agreement (EES)
Users wishing to use any of the following software should read the Microsoft EES Agreement pages:
- Windows 11 Education Upgrade
- Microsoft Office 365 and Office for Mac
- Microsoft on premises versions of the licensed products.
Microsoft Select software licence deal
The Microsoft Select deal is a method of selling Microsoft software perpetual licences for products not covered by the Microsoft Enrollment for Education Agreement, such as Project, Visio and Visual Studio.
