- 25 February 2025 - Seminar hosted by London Centre for Work and Health - 'What personal funding awards are available for Work and Health research?', online, no registration required. This event will be co-presented by the Colt Foundation CEO and NIHR representatives will provide an overview of different personal funding awards available to support individuals who wish to pursue a career in work and health research.
- 11 March 2025 - "Playing games and mental health: an epidemiological approach with the Born in Bradford cohort of children", in-person in CSE/082 (Computer Science, ground floor) and online via Zoom, 3.30-4.30pm. Research seminar by Professor Paul Cairns (Computer Science, University of York). This talk explores the relationship between gaming and mental health in a large cohort of teenagers.
- 13 March 2025 - "Improving Adolescent Mental Health: evidence into policy workshop", in-person only, Salts Mill, Saltaire. An opportunity for researchers and senior decision makers from across the child and adolescent mental health system in Yorkshire to learn from and share with the NIHR Yorkshire and Humber ARC/Born in Bradford ‘Star Chamber’ academic experts. The event will explore service challenges across the locality and consider where there is evidence that speaks to new approaches to meet local need. Email emma.doggett@bthft.nhs.uk to register.
- 27 March 2025 - Forum for Mental Health Technology Innovators, in-person event in Liverpool. This event is organised by the NIHR MindTech HealthTech Research Centre for Mental Health (Nottingham), the Mental Health Research for Innovation Centre (M-RIC; Liverpool), and the Mindset XR Programme from Health Innovation South London. It is joint funded by the UK Mental Health Mission, MindTech and M-RIC. The event will bring together innovators in digital & technology companies (for example VR, AR, apps, medtech and digital games), NHS research leaders and academic groups.
- 2 April 2025 - Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Surveillance System 15-year anniversary symposium, in-person only, Royal College of Psychiatrists, London. A free event celebrating 15 years of facilitating research into rare mental health conditions in children and young people.
