Event details

This reading group seeks to explore how poetry can be its own research tool and output, building on an extant creative-critical school of thought in the Humanities Research Centre (HRC).

Meeting four times over the course of Semester 2, we will both workshop works in progress and also practice new and alternative approaches informed by the exciting field of contemporary experimental poetry. In each session, guest speakers from within the HRC will lead a talk about the presents, pasts, and futures of poetry as critical response, and we will follow this with space for workshopping our poetry in progress as a group. This group is open to all members of the HRC with an interest in poetry in and as criticism.

In our second meeting, we'll be joined by guest speaker Kevin Killeen to cover Science, Natural Philosophy and Renaissance Poetry.
