Event details

Can a new story of human emotions help us to find ourselves today?

Starting with drinks in the Berrick Saul Building at 5.45pm, this evening of discussion will see Penny show the relevance of the origins of human emotion and emotional connection to the issues we face in today’s world. Penny will begin with a talk on these themes, and then lead a Q&A session with the audience. We will also be providing more information about White Rose University Press, and you will be able to meet the Chair of the Editorial Board and the Press Manager.

On behalf of Penny Spikins, WRUP really hopes to be able to welcome you to this session. It’s fantastic to have the opportunity to come together and reconnect face-to-face as an academic community.

This session is open for general booking, so please share this with your colleagues if you think it would be of interest to them. If you have any questions about the evening, please contact Lucy Cook from WRUP via lucy.cook@york.ac.uk. Booking closes on Monday 16 October 2023.
