Languages for All bursary

The Department of History Languages for All Bursaries are available to support undergraduate and postgraduate students from the Department of History at York. Bursaries cover the cost of the year-long Languages for All course tuition fee.

The Languages for All bursary was established with the aim to provide funding to support students (both undergraduate and postgraduate taught) in order to enable them to study a language alongside their History degree.

The bursaries are available to both Home and International students and cover the Languages for All tuition fee.

Eligibility

Open to EU, International (non-EU) and UK (home) students.

Open to students in the Department of History.

The scholarship is open to applications from students commencing an undergraduate degree in the Department of History in September 2023. This includes students studying for a joint honours degree, providing that History is one of the subjects studied.

Application deadline: Wednesday 20 September 2023, 5pm BST

You must provide evidence in the Google Form linked of how the Languages for All bursary will benefit your studies.

Terms and conditions

There is limited funding available, so you must be able to commit the time to attending and completing the course.

Attendance of the course will be monitored by Languages for All and the department.
