A scholarship for 10% of the tuition fees is available to two applicants from lower or lower-middle income countries, as classified by the World Bank.

The Department of Economics and Related Studies has two scholarships for 10% of the full fee amount available for students who are self funding from countries classified by the World Bank as being lower or lower-middle income economies. All applicants who meet this criteria, and apply by 30 June, will be considered by our selection panel, who will assess applicants and make their selection on the basis of academic merit.

Eligibility

Open to International (non-EU) students only.

In order to be eligible you must also have an offer for a place on the PG Diploma in Health Economics for Health Professionals and Policymakers.

Students who are self funding from countries classified by the World Bank as being lower or lower-middle income economies.

Application deadline: Tuesday 30 June 2026, 11.59pm BST

All applicants who meet this criteria, and apply by 30 June, will be considered.

How we allocate

Our selection panel will assess applicants and make their selection on the basis of academic merit. 

Terms and conditions

Applications will be viewed by administrative staff within the Department of Economics and Related Studies, the admissions tutors for the Health Economics for Health Professionals and Policymakers programmes, central University admissions staff, and the selection panel (made up of two members of academic staff within the department).

If a student is offered the scholarship, but then defers their entry, they will not be guaranteed the scholarship the following academic year.
