Research in Economics at York retains its place among the global top 100
The latest release of the Tilburg University Top 100 Worldwide Economics Schools Research Ranking shows that Economics at York continues to be ranked among the best 100 departments in the world.
Prof Jo Swaffield, Head of Economics at York said: "I am delighted that the research excellence in economics at York we work so hard to deliver is now consistently recognised in independent international rankings.
"The size of the department and the breadth of expertise in Economics at York allows us to aim for research excellence across many fields in economics and related studies such as finance and economic history.
"The department is home to several research centres and clusters that provide a hub for researchers to interact. They also serve as a platform for engagement with the wider world. We are very proud of the impact our research has on the wider community which has also been recognised in the latest round of the UK Research Excellence Framework assessment."
