Fancy a career in finance?

Come and spend an hour with someone with extensive experience in the finance industry.

On the 24th April, we are honoured to welcome Tim Hill (BSc Economics & Finance, 1999) back to the University.  Tim is now a Partner at EY (Ernst & Young), focused on Banking & Capital Markets, and manages relationships and business development activity across a portfolio of major US investment banks.

Tim will give an accessible guest lecture discussing the structure of an investment bank, debt vs equity, risk vs return and market efficiency, based on real life experience and examples, focussing on careers, places to apply, and the roles available in the industry.

After joining the EY grad scheme from York, Tim worked for UBS and Barclays Capital before rejoining EY in 2012. He is passionate about York and about mentoring people from a diverse range of backgrounds, and contributing to career development and recruitment initiatives.

There will also be the opportunity to ask Tim any questions about his career, or routes into similar roles.  As well as the wider variety of roles available within a Big Four firm.

This is a unique opportunity not to be missed.
