Welcome to Wentworth Graduate College!

We’re the University of York's only purely postgraduate college and a hub for postgraduate activity on Campus West. Wentworth has over 8,000 college members, the majority of whom live off-campus. 

Our community is diverse, consisting of a mixture of taught and research postgraduates, both from the UK and all around the world.

College committees

Wentworth has two committees that help build an active, welcoming community for postgraduate students and staff. Both organise events, support common room spaces and give members a voice in shaping college life.

  • Graduate Common Room Committee (GCRC): Connects postgraduates with the College and University, runs events, and represents student views. 
  • Staff Common Room Committee (SCRC): Organises events and activities for staff and oversees use of the Staff and Graduate Common Room. Membership is £10 per year and open to all staff. Members get access to common rooms and events at a subsidised price.
