New Students: Welcome!

Congratulations on being awarded a place to study at the University of York and welcome to Vanbrugh College.

Your College is your community from the moment you join the University to your graduation and beyond as you become alumni of Vanbrugh College.

Going to University is a big step for some and is a transformation for most. For new Vanbrugh College students we aim to make the experience a very positive one. A College is an environment in which to flourish, to make friends, to study, to be inspired and to learn and grow throughout this period of your education, and we are glad you have chosen Vanbrugh as your new community.

As a new student you are probably overwhelmed with information at the moment and have a lot to plan.  Whatever stage of that journey you are at, you will find advice throughout these webpages and in emails that will be sent to your University email address.
