Student Commuter Hubs
As part of our ongoing commitment to enhancing the student experience, work is underway to develop dedicated Commuter Student Hubs across key campus locations.
These facilities will provide commuter students with functional, comfortable bases to use throughout their time on campus. Designed as relaxed, flexible spaces, the hubs will support daily student life between timetable commitments, offering spaces to study, rest and prepare food.
Overview
The commuter facilities will be located across key campus buildings, chosen to ensure good accessibility, public transport links and proximity to the main library / study facilities.
The hubs will be found in two key buildings:
Featuring kitchen and food prep facilities such as microwaves, hot water points and areas to heat and prepare meals.
There will be workspaces with flexible seating and integrated power outlets for independent study and device charging, as well as comfortable seating for downtime between lectures and seminars.
How will this affect me
Work has already started and is scheduled to be fully operational by summer 2027.
