Based on collaborative research by academics from the Centre for Applied Human Rights and York Law School, alongside the charity APPEAL, we are proud to announce the launch of a new policy report: Trew’s Law: The Case for Automatic Reviews of Imprisoned Police Officers’ Files for Miscarriages of Justice.
Exactly fifty years after the Oval 4 campaign first gathered at the same venue, this event will bring together legal experts, academics, and campaigners to discuss the impact of police misconduct on wrongful convictions and the urgent need for systemic reform.
Speakers include Winston Trew (Oval 4), Kim Johnson MP, Mattia Pinto (CAHR/YLS), Matt Foot (APPEAL), Jeffrey Campbell, and Cllr Jonathan Bartley.
