Care Confidence – Training Resources

Researchers at the University of York have developed some training materials to support all staff who are using Care Confidence in their day-to-day work with older self-funders and their families.

Please feel free to share these resources with your teams. If you have any questions about the resources or about Care Confidence, please contact sarah.brown3@york.ac.uk.

Care Confidence - a video guide for professionals using the tool

Care Confidence was created by university researchers with help from members of the public and professionals. It is designed to help older people who fund their own social care (or might need to in the future) feel better prepared to make decisions about paying for social care.

This guide is designed for practitioners and advisors supporting people to access and use Care Confidence. It outlines how the tool works and how you might use it to help people think through their options.
