Event details

SMIF|UK is an annual conference, hosted by the University of York and the Griff Investment Fund, which brings together UK Student-Managed Investment Funds and industry professionals from around the world.

We are delighted to announce that the fifth edition of this conference, SMIF|UK 26, will comprise a one-day event taking place Tuesday 17th February 2026 at The Guildhall, York.

This conference provides a unique opportunity for students to learn, network and gain insights into the world of investment management and opportunities from esteemed industry experts, engage in thought-provoking panel discussions, and participate in a “Stock Pitch” competition for a prize!

Topics will be presented by professionals from diverse industry backgrounds, offering a wide array of perspectives on this dynamic and multi-faceted sector. Contributions will also include insights from alumni, members of the SMIF committee, and their supervising staff.

We invite you to join us for this event and connect with like-minded individuals, share ideas, and build valuable connections that can help shape your future in finance.

Following the conference, all attendees are invited to a drinks reception organised and hosted by one of our sponsors, York Angels. The drinks reception will take place in Merchant Adventurers’ Hall, York, from 5-7pm.
