About the speaker
Professor Krish Singh
Professor Krish Singh is Head of Human Electrophysiology in the School of Psychology at Cardiff University. Originating from a physics background (BSc Dunelm, PhD Open), he transitioned into neuroscience, specializing in non-invasive neuroimaging particularly magnetoencephalography (MEG) and MRI to investigate human brain function through electrical oscillatory activity.
Since arriving at Cardiff in 2005, he has played a pivotal role in establishing and directing the Cardiff University Brain Research Imaging Centre (CUBRIC), advancing multimodal neuroimaging research across cognitive and clinical neuroscience applications. His leadership extends to forming cross-disciplinary collaborations with Cardiff’s Schools of Medicine, Biosciences, and the Neuroscience and Mental Health Innovation Institute. These efforts underpin cutting-edge studies into epilepsy, schizophrenia, Alzheimer’s disease, and electrophysiological markers of genetic risk
