About the speaker

Dr Borko Amulic

Dr Borko Amulic is an Associate Professor in Immunology within the School of Cellular and Molecular Medicine at the University of Bristol. His work delves into how neutrophils - key immune defenders - are developed, regulated, and can be harnessed both as protective agents and targets to prevent immune-mediated pathology. His recent contributions include research into the molecular control of neutrophil development, NET formation, and their roles in malaria pathogenesis. Dr Amulic is also pioneering neutrophil transfusion therapies, and has been awarded significant grants such as the MRC Transition Support Award and a BBSRC International Institutional Award. His recent journal publications and datasets underscore his commitment to advancing both fundamental insight and translational potential in neutrophil biology.
