This research project, led by Catherine Laws (Professor in Music), Jon Hook (Lecturer in Interactive Media) and Tom Cornford (Lecturer in Theatre), has been funded by the University of York’s Research Priming Fund.

Its brief is to scope new possibilities for interactive video technology to facilitate and aid the exploration and documentation of collaborative, creative rehearsal practices. It will evaluate rehearsal processes and generate representations of rehearsal data in forms that can be edited and annotated by practitioners:

  • to facilitate the development of works in progress towards performance
  • to document material processes of devising
  • to create new forms of scripts or scores for further performances.
