INCLUDE (Inclusive Network Connecting and Linking University Disabled Employees)

an inclusive network, open to all staff with a disability, long-term condition or an interest in supporting the University in becoming more disability confident

Information about the Network:

The Network was established in response to a need identified in part by the disabled staff at the University of York.

The Network was launched on 2 February 2015 by the Vice Chancellor and a talk was given by Dr Alice Maynard, a graduate and honorary graduate of the University of York.

The first meeting of the Network was held on the 21 May 2015.


Aims of the Network:

Promote the value of disabled talent

Improve the working environment of disabled staff by:

    Raising awareness

    Sharing good practice

Make it easier for disabled staff to be as open about their disability as they want to be


The Network will aim to meet once a term and will include occasional guest speakers who will be invited to talk about a variety of relevant topics.

Membership of the Network is inclusive and open to all staff
