We've had another successful year of Green Impact audits!

That’s a wrap on another successful year of Green Impact audits at the University of York.

Throughout May, in partnership with SOS-UK, 28 students received ISEP-approved sustainability auditing training before putting their skills into practice by auditing departments and laboratories across the University as part of the Green Impact programme.

This year:

  • 14 Green Impact teams were audited on their sustainability actions.
  • 32 Green Impact Labs (GILA) teams were audited for their progress in embedding sustainability into research practices.

The programme not only supports sustainability across the University, but also helps students develop valuable employability skills including communication, teamwork, organisation, and decision-making.

A huge thank you to our student auditors, and to all of our Green Impact and Green Lab teams for their commitment and hard work throughout the year.

We’re looking forward to celebrating everyone’s achievements at the Green Impact Awards ceremony in June.
