Through the Academic Skills Community, you can access guidance, resources, and activities to assist with your academic studies and strengthen your employability. You can boost your skills with online resources and skills guides, workshops, and one-to-one advice.
- Maths: Hone your maths, data analysis, and statistics, and prepare for numerical reasoning tests.
- Writing: Boost your academic writing and study strategies, develop an academic writing style, proofread your own work and more.
- Digital: Improve your digital skills, and get the most out of our software packages, through Skills Guides and training sessions
- Communication: Build your confidence in presenting, collaborating, speaking and listening through workshops.
- Academic integrity: Learn to follow good academic practice in your reading and writing, and how to avoid plagiarism, through our Academic Integrity tutorial and extensive Reference Guides.
- Library: Make an appointment with a Faculty librarian to improve your library searching skills.
I prefer to work in my favourite study spaces on campus and around the city. I tend to book a study room in the Library, or go to Church Lane, where there's a range of amazing study spaces and a Starbucks!
