York is 'outstanding performer' says FT

The University of York is hailed as the Financial Times' 'outstanding performer' in its annual league table of 100 higher education institutions.
York's 6th place in the table reflects its strong performance in teaching and research. Indeed, York is rated top for teaching in the FT league.
"York is popular with students and academics," says the Financial Times. "They value its environment for living and working."
The top ten UK universities, according to the Financial Times are:
- Cambridge
- Oxford
- Imperial College
- LSE
- UCL
- York
- Warwick
- Bristol
- Nottingham
- UMIST
