Microsoft 365

All University of York staff and students, including associates and distance learners, have free access to Microsoft 365 Enterprise apps (formerly known as Office). Apps include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.

Google Workspace for Education is our main productivity tool at York. Access a full range of productivity tools, share files with others, and collaborate in real time. Get started with Google Workspace.

OneDrive

Back up your personal University files with OneDrive. Managed laptops are set up with OneDrive as standard to keep your data safe.

Teams (guest access)

Been invited to collaborate in Teams? Log in as a guest and participate in other organisation’s Teams channels and meetings.

Logging in

Microsoft 365 is part of your University account. Use your University email address, password, and two factor authentication to log in.

Access from China

If you're studying with us from China you may have difficulties accessing Microsoft services. You can gain access using our China Connect service.

Leaving the University? 

You can continue to access Microsoft 365 apps by taking out your own personal subscription. To continue accessing your personal files in OneDrive, you’ll need to move them before you leave. Learn what to do if you are a staff leaver or student leaver.
