IT Support Office

The IT Support Office is your first point of contact with IT Services.

If the IT Support Office staff cannot solve your query immediately, they will log the details and refer the matter to another member of staff who has specialist expertise in the relevant area.

  • Open 09:00 - 17:00,
    Monday - Friday
  • We may be closed for training once or twice a week, for up to two hours. Closure will be notified via York Extra.

Bomgar remote control

When helping to fix your IT problem, IT Services staff may use Bomgar, a remote control tool which allows us, with your permission, to connect to your machine.

All members of the University may visit the IT Support Office to use our services.

Software support for undergrads and taught postgrads

We offer some support for students in the use of Microsoft Office. Undergraduates and taught postgraduates needing help with other applications should contact their Departmental Computing Officer.
