Bus Ticket Subsidy (Reliance)

The University of York , as part of its Sustainable Transport Policy, and in partnership with Reliance Motor Services is able to offer University of York staff and students the opportunity to purchase reduced monthly Bus Tickets at a reduced price.

Service 30

Operates from Easingwold to York vis Alne, Tollerton, A19, Shipton, Skelton, Clifton, Leeman Road (am), Poppleton Road (pm), York Statopm Avenue, York Exhibition Square.

Service 40

Operates from Crayke, Easingwold, Stillington, Huby, Sutton Eastmoor, Wigginton L.E., Wigginton /road, York Hospital, York Exhibition Square, Station, Tadcaster Road, York College, Askham Bryan College.

Monthly Tickets

Monthly tickets offer staff and students a saving of 6 fares per-ticket (from a standard Reliance Month ticket price) and are valid for four weeks. They offer unlimited use of the service upon production of a valid ticket.

How does this work?

On purchasing your monthly ticket from the driver you show your University Reliance identification card, the driver will then issue you a ticket with the 6 fare saving.

How to obtain your identification card

• Fill in Reliance application form, click here for the link.
• Remember you will need a digital photograph.
• The Travel Plan Co-ordinator will then process your application form. This will normally take one week.
• The Travel Plan Co-ordinator will contact you by e-mail as soon as the card is ready for your collection.
