Staff Bus Ticket Subsidy (FirstYork)
How Does It Work?
The University of York , as part of its Sustainable Transport Policy, and in partnership with FirstYork is able to offer University of York staff the opportunity to purchase reduced price daily, weekly and monthly Bus Tickets (these tickets are for eligible staff only and cannot be issued to students).
Daily Tickets
Daily tickets offer staff a saving of £0.90p per-ticket (from standard FirstDaily ticket price) and are valid for one day by self certification. They offer unlimited use of the FirstYork network upon production of a valid ticket.

Weekly Tickets
Weekly tickets offer staff a saving of £3.00 per-ticket (from standard FirstWeek ticket prices) and are valid for a period of seven days. They offer unlimited use of the FirstYork network upon production of a valid ticket.

Monthly Tickets
Monthly tickets offer staff a saving of £11.00 per-ticket (from standard FirstMonth ticket price) and are valid for four weeks. They offer unlimited use of the FirstYork network upon production of a valid ticket and provide an additional saving over and above that of the weekly tickets.

Where Are Tickets Available From?
Tickets are available from the Market Square Information Centre. Ticket Sales Opening hours 8.30 to 5.15pm Monday to Friday
How To Obtain Tickets
Present your staff card to the Information Centre staff when purchasing your tickets. FirstYork Daily, Weekly and Monthly tickets can be purchased up to 6 weeks in advance of their commencement date (maximum of 10 daily, 6 weekly or two monthly).
