Heslington East New Parking Arrangements

 

ALL Barriers on Heslington East will be in operation from Tuesday 7 May 2013

 

Access and Egress to Field Lane Car Park and Kimberlow Lane Car Park will be from Hull Road/Grimston Bar NOT Field Lane.

 

The entry from Badger Hill will ONLY allow access to the Cluster for deliveries, reserved parking, disabled parking bays, access to the Catalyst car park and buses. 

Cars will be unable to access the car parks as a barrier system will be installed to allow only the buses to gain access to the bus stops, please note Parking Charge Notices will be issued to cars using the bus only lanes.

 

 Permit holders will be allowed to park in Kimberlow and Field Lane Car Parks.  If you would like your registrations programmed into the number plate recognition software so the barrier arm will automatically lift as your car approaches please contact parking-permits@york.ac.uk .  Permit holders will also have the facility to open the barrier arm with their kaba card, if your kaba card does not work for some reason please take a ticket from the barrier dispenser to gain access then contact parking-permit@york.ac.uk or telephone 2057 so that your kaba card can be updated.

 

Pay on Foot will be in operation in both car parks for visitors to Heslington East. Access and egress will be via Hull Road/Grimston Bar.  Payment by credit/visa card will be hopefully be available by mid May at the pay on foot machines.

Car Parks Accessed from Field Lane

•          40 Catalyst spaces 

•          26 Distributed spaces

 

Car Parks Accessed from Grimston Bar

•          120 Spaces Field Lane Car Park

•          150 Spaces Kimberlow Lane

 

Access/Egress to Field Lane Car Park and Kimberlow Car Park will be from Hull Road/Grimston Bar NOT Field Lane.
