YARN and the Department of History are delighted to welcome  Professor Kerry Brown (KCL) to speak on the theme ‘China's World: What Does China Want?’ The talk will be followed by a discussion.

Professor Brown is a world-leading expert on contemporary China and its foreign relations. He is currently Director of the Lau China Institute at King's College, London. From 2012 to 2015 he was Director of the China Studies Centre at the University of Sydney, Australia.

He has written more than ten books on modern Chinese politics, history and language, including The New Emperors: Power and the Princelings in China (2014), What's Wrong with Diplomacy: The Case of the UK and China (2015) and China's World: What Does China Want? (2017).
