Funding for Institutional Links

Funding opportunities are available from a range of sources to enable researchers of different career stages to form links with international institutions.

British Council Researcher Links Travel Grants: UK/Thailand

These enable early-career researchers to undertake international research placements in the UK or Thailand. Grants are worth up to £15,410 over a maximum period of six months, more information is available on the website.

Newton Fund Research Links

The Newton Fund Network has received a large number of partner requests for collaborations under the Research Links call (RL) or the Institutional Links call (IL). Many are from Asian partners (the Philippines, Vietnam, Thailand).

Leverhulme Trust Visiting Professorships

These enable UK institutions to host distinguished researchers from overseas, primarily to enhance the skills of academic staff or students at the host institution. Funding covers maintenance, travel expenses and research costs of visits that last between three and 12 months. More information is availalable here.
