Our industry connections
The Department of Theatre, Film, Television and Interactive Media was founded to break down barriers between theory and practice as well as between art and science. Central to this has been a commitment to external engagement, particularly with industry. The department’s award-winning building was funded in part by the European Regional Development Fund, which specifically requires us to support industry to enhance the regional economy. As a result, our building is equipped to full industry standards on par with the best production facilities in the UK.
