Application for MSc in Applied Forensic Psychology

To be eligible for entry on the MSc in Applied Forensic Psychology programme of study, you should normally have Graduate Basis for Chartered Membership (GBC) with the British Psychological Society (BPS), as this is a BPS accredited programme.

Applicants without GBC may also apply for the MSc in Applied Forensic Psychology, however, if you would like to work towards the BPS Qualification in Forensic Psychology (Stage 2) you would need to go on to complete a Psychology conversion course after gaining your MSc.

There is also an equivalent non-BPS accredited MSc in Forensic Psychology Studies (MSc FPS) for applicants that do not wish to pursue Chartership.

Please note that applicants without GBC should hold a first degree that demonstrates knowledge and understanding of psychological principles together with competency in research design and analysis.

We recommend that prospective students submit their applications by the 31st March for entry onto the course in September. Although applications will still be considered beyond this date, places on the course are limited and we would therefore advise you to apply at the earliest opportunity.

Please note: This programme is currently under review and will not be recruiting for 2019/0 entry. Please contact the Department of Psychology for further advice.
